The 2012 vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape was marked by contrasting weather conditions, yet overall favourable for achieving excellent grape ripeness. It produced wines that are harmonious, elegant and approachable, defined by balance and finesse.

Appearance
Deep red with ruby highlights.
Nose
Aromas of black fruit, sweet spices and garrigue. Notes of balsamic.
Palate
Well-balanced, smooth tannins. Nice salinity on the finish thanks to the old Grenache.

Terroir
Selection of plots located on 5 different terroirs in the appellation: La Crau, rolled pebbles, sands, safresand urgonians.
Vinification and aging
Vinification
Traditional vinification.
Long maceration of about one month.
Aging
50% of the blend is aged in French oak barrels, 25% in foudre and 25% in concrete vats.
