“Lastly, the 2021 Vacqueyras has outstanding potential. Based on a blend of 80% Grenache and 10% each of Syrah and Mourvèdre, it has juicy cherry and blackberry fruits, some earthy, peppery nuances, medium body, ripe tannins, and a balanced, layered mouthfeel. It’s impressive.”

Terroir
Each grape variety in this blend comes from different terroirs:
- Syrah comes from clay and limestone as well as clay alluviums
- Grenache comes from 60+ year old vines planted on terraces of rolled pebbles
Vinification et élevage
Vinification
Grenaches fermented in small concrete tanks.
Syrah fermented in tanks.
Ageing
After malolactic fermentation, Syrahs are aged in barrels of one wine during 12 months.
Mourvèdres are aged in combination of one to three years barrels.

7 hours lamb – Lamb Tajine with prunes – Roasted pork with sage – Mild thaï curry beef
