Covered with a sea of large yellowish rolled pebbles, the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers a unique and timeless view. Tradition dictates that wine are made from thirteen grape varieties, each contributing its own distinctive character.

“The ample nose of dried cherry, candied orange and fresh rosemary leads you into this rich, yet fresh Chateauneuf with fine tannins and enough acidity to keep it clean. Lively and moderately dry finish. A cuvee of 75% grenache, 10% syrah, 10% mourvedre and 5% clairette. Drink or hold.”
Terroir
The 4 terroirs, the 13 grape varieties and the Mistral wind are the three great assets of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The pebbles, the trademark of the appellation, give back to the grapes the heat stored during the day. They contribute to a perfect ripening of the berries.
For our Châteauneuf-du-pape, we have selected 60 plots located mainly on the northern terroirs of the appellation: 50% of limestone, 30% of red sandstone, 20% of rolled pebbles.
Vinification and ageing
Vinification
Each grape variety is vinified separately.
50% of the blend is vinified in stainless steel tanks, 25% in concrete tanks and 25% in truncated wooden tank.
Ageing
Aged for 16 months in a mix of containers: 20% in foudres, 50% in stainless steel vats, 5% in truncated wooden tank and 5% in demi-muids. The remaining 20% were aged in amphoras for 12 months.
